My son has an Epi Les Paul Special II with an SH-8 Invader in the bridge. Am considering getting him a SH-6 Distortion to put in the neck. The neck version of the Distortion is still a high output humbucker but might be the match he is looking for. He is into Shredding :-) What kind of tones can I expect from this match? Will the clean sound be ok? Thanks.

hi panamang,i got exactly the same question for an epi les paul.i probably will buy the sh-6n and pair it with the invader.generell rule is not to have a blaster at the neck for versatility of sound but that's a blabla.wish me luck and i come back to you with my results.cheers

DD neck is good for cleans and lower gain too.

I don't care for the DDn's cleans as a full on bucker, but it's quite tasty when it's split.

That's a nice combo for the heavy stuff. I don't know about the DD's cleans though...
