Guys, I have a question for everyone . . .
Which will give me a warmer, thicker tone in the bridge position of my Strat: a Lil 59 pickup or a Cool Rail????
I am going to order one shortly, but I can't make up my mind.
Also, I would like to pick the one that is the LEAST touch sensitive.
I love the feel of my Strat, and can't wait to try a new pup. I'm just a novice/amateur player, but I think this will make even ME sound better.
Also, will either one of these pickups come really close to the sound of a true humbucker???
I tried out a strat copy a while ago that had humbuckers in it, and between the thicker tone and the fact that it was less touch sensitive, I fell in love with that type of setup.
Thanks a bunch!!!!!

I do believe the lil '59 comes closer to a real humbucker as compared to the cool rail, I have expertimented with both on the bridge of my strat and decided to leave the lil'59 there and place the cool rails on the neck instead .
Thanks for the input.
Next Q: Will the Lil '59 be much less TOUCH sensitive than my Fender pup?
Next Q: Will I have to go to a true humbucker to completely avoid the TOUCH SENSITIVE quality of my Strat???Let me know what you guys think . . .
Just so you know the cool rails and the Lil 59 are the same pickups with different quot;polesquot;...one has the poles the other has rails
Actually the lil59 and the Cool Rails are a little different and you can see that in the DC resistance and the resonant peak between the two pickups.
They sound fairly simular though.
The lil59 is a little hotter and the Cool Rails is a little warmer. Both will give you humbucker tone from a Strat. Without knowing what pickup was in the Strat you heard/played it's hard to say if you'll get exactly the same results. If you like a hotter/punchier tone a JB jr or a Hot Rails might be better choices.
It really depends on what you are going for.
