Gosh I miss the way life was just three months ago. Then if I wanted a guitar I would just go buy it. Now with a newly aquired mortgage I cant go and just drop $800-$900 on one of these bad boys. Ever since watching(and listening) to Warren Haynes on the Allman Brothers DVD I just can't get the sound of an ES-335 out of my head. I really think the ES-333 is the best bang for the buck at $800 on the used market. It's just a 335 without the fancy appointments and finish. Do you guys have any experience with one? I am convinced we all need GAS counseling!!!

i know exactly how you feel....believe me!!!

and you came to the wrong place for help...if i didn't have g.a.s. for something i don't know what i would do with myself!!!

I think you'll only get sympathy and not help!

As for the ES, I don't have much experience with them. I've been thinking about getting one myself, though. Or at least something similar.

A 333 just looks so naked and ugly to me . . . I've never played one, and I'm sure that they sound ok, but I need a pickguard on my semi-hollow . . . but as for semi-hollow guitars in general, they're pretty versatile IMO. You can get a lot of cool sounds from one.

That guitar is beautiful.

I've got an ES-137 classic and it's my #1. I love the tone and gibson necks or my fav. A friend of mine had one (Iquot;m pretty shure he sold it to buy his heritage semi) and that what gave me GAS to get my ES. I can definatly feel your pain right now I've got I real bad GAS for one of these.

Sorry Pic didn't work

It's funny that you post a Blues Hawk. I had a NightHawk and that was one of my all time favorites. It was a truely amazing guitar. Wander why Gibson decided to can it? If they ever made a new line of them I would be first in line.

does SD make angled bridge pups like on the nighthawk.

Not sure. I really liked the bridge pup that came stock in it. It was a toch on the thin side when split though.

I have an ES-137 Classic, too. It's Blues Burst with chrome hardware, set up with .011's wrapped over the tail piece, bone nut, and Seth Lovers. It's a great guitar. I love the tone and the balance in my hands, whether sitting or standing -- much more comfortable than a LP when sitting. The sustain and controllable feedback are wonderful. And it is particularly cool when I crank it through a 15 or 30 watt amp and feel the air rush out of the upper f-hole and tickle my arm. It's like the thing is breathing. Now that's a unique playing experience.
