So yeah, my Blue Voodoo isn't cutting it at all and I just got finished with a gig using it. Went to the pawn shop and saw a Peavey VTM and LOVED IT. Not bright at all, in fact I couldnt get it bright PERIOD!! Def a prized Peavey. It's all tube ectect and I want your guys opinions. Any of you seen or heard one of these amps before?
Is it the 60 or 120 watt version?

I have a Peavey Triumph 120 tube head.
I think it was made in 1989 and I think the VTM's were from a few years earlier.
Anyway I paid $250 for mine like 3-4 months ago and I like it and everything i've read about the VTM's is that they are even better.
The one I played was a 60 watt but I may wait till one comes on ebay that's a 100 watt version as my BV is 60 watts and is not enough. All the reviews love it and I can see why after playing it, it absolutely cant sound mushy nor bright and doesn't have that hissy top end or buzz saw sound, sounds natural. and only 300 bucks WITH a XXX peavey cab!!!
nobody?
I still think that there is something seriously wrong if 60 watt's isnt enough.
But 300 for that and a cab, even if it was a cheapo cab, is an amazing deal! Pick it up!
Kim Thayil used to use them in the early days of Soundgarden...I have played threw a few...they are ok amps, for $300.00 WITH a cab it's worth that for sure!
