Sam Ash locally had the only Vox AD 2x12 around,so I went and grabbed it...I haven't had a chance to play through it yet because it's late,but tomorrow I will.... Nestled between the Vox Valvetronix 120VTH is my Fender Cyber Twin...

I will give you as much scoop as I can about the speaker cabinet and how the speakers react to clean vs dirty tones...

Artie...The cabinet looks really dark in these pictures,but it is the exact match to the head and is supposed to be blue...Crappy dark pictures....

I do have a bad back and I didn't do any lifting of the cabinet,though I did lift cash right out of my wallet! LOL

Hey Sac....This was the last AD 2x12 that the Tampa store had....Thanks again for letting me know about it...I was going to order the cab from MF,but if something were wrong with the cab,or I decided I didn't like it,I'd have to pay to ship it back...Now I possess the cab and I don't have to wait for it to ship...Plus....Chris at the Tampa store(Great guy)got his commission he deserved....

I think it's probably best to stay with the original cab, even if you end up swapping speakers. As unique as their grillcloth is, the head just plain looks better on the matching cab.

I'm so bummed I blew up my Valvetronix last week! I just found out today that it's still under warranty, so tomorrow I'll be taking it in to Sam Ash to have it sent back for repair. That was one of the few purchases I made that was NEW, and now I'm glad it was, since it's covered for 3 years.

How did you blow up your Vox?

I think that I will do the same as soon as I can afford to get one. My Head will look so much better sitting on the matching cab. I think that I would however change out the stock neodogs for either V30's or keep what I have already with the Eminence's. This is based on how I liked the tone better of my cab over the neo's in my buddy's 120 combo.
