REALLY FRIGGIN LOUD, that's what it is
i got 2 eminence cabs, a 2x12 amp; a 4x12, the 4x12 has an X pattern of red white amp; blues and swamp thangs, and the 2x12 just has 2 swamp thangs, all closed back, black tolex, fender grill, sounds AWESOME
only complaint is i'm getting sort of a dead sound on the 7th fret of my A string, really bassy amp; muddy for some reason, so i gotta diagnose that problem, but other than that, sounds great!
My ears hurt just reading this.
accomplishment!

Disclaimer:
I don't have much real practical experiance dealing with this sort of stuff. But I have read a bit about it and I can tell you what I think I know. Please don't act on anything that I say, this is just intended to be a suggestion for you to consider before taking the cabs to someone who does actually know what they're talking about. This sounds like it could be a standing wave. Have you had the cabs open at all? They should be filled with something to stop this from happening. The best way to compensate for this is to fill the cab a little more with whatever the manufacturer has chosen to use. Or at least something fairly similiar, it will probably be a material not too dissimiliar from foam.
Wasn't Fender's quot;Super Sixquot; a 6x12 combo with Showman guts?

That was 6 x 10s and closer to a Twin reverb than a super. The one I tried was the 135 watt version. What a freak'in ear bleeder. Then I tried to pick it up. I renamed it the Stupid six. I think Albert Collins used one in the 70's and 80's? I feel sorry for who ever his roadie was.

No, the Super Six was a 6x10 combo with Twin/Showman guts. The Quad Reverb had 4x12.
Univox made a 6x12 cab for the blue quot;Group Bquot; amps in the early 70's. They show up on eBay occasionally
there was some marshall 8X12 cabs The Who had in the beginning.....they were essentially just 2 4X12 cabs, but a full solid cabinet......then the roadies got pissed at the bulkiness of them, and they cut them in half for the 4X12 cab
Acoustic made some amps in the 70s that had a 610 arrangement. Those things would just cut the nuts off a Twin!
I know a bassist that has a 8 X 10 (I'm pretty sure they're 10s and not 12's) I think it's made by carvin. And Drew, How much bass do you get out of the 4X12? I was thinking about getting some Swamp Things, but I was scare of haveing too much bass.
it's there if i need it, but i can also pretty much nail chuck berry tone
it's a pretty versatile speaker, think of an eminence legeng 125 (hot rod deluxe) with just a tiny bit more bass amp; less highs

I believe VHT made (or makes?) a 6x12quot; cabinet. Not sure how common they really are, but I have seen photos.
