Any opinions on the best beginner/practice amp around $100?
Thanks,

Vox Pathfinder 15Reverb
Roland Cube series is great for practice amps
then there's mine, which I picked up for $25 brand new:
Rock On
I got a Roland Microcube as my first amp. It's small, but there's really no need for anything bigger until you get into quot;realquot; amps anyway. It sounds good enough that I still plug into it often.
Another vote for the Roland Cubes. I have a 30 and it's an excellent practice amp. I got the 30 because I didn't want to rule out the possibility of using it for small rehearsals / gigs, and it's probably more than $100, but there is a Cube 15 and the MicroCube which I'm sure are great too. Definitely check out their range. Compact, versatile, great sounds.
i would vote MARSHALL all the way. My first amp was a 30 watt marshall that i still have today. It has survived 7 years of my playing and has been played quite loud on occasion. I still use it today acctually cause i dont feel like hauling my 2x12 line 6 amps around everywhere.
Roland Cube 15 sounds like a good idea. The only drawback is it doesn't have reverb. But I can deal.
Thanks,
CoachC
yea the roland cubes are kool, cheap too

$100 bucks? Hmm... I'm guilty of that a bit as well as the reverb version of the vox pathfinder is about $115-120.
Another vote for the Roland Cube 15.
i would have to say two options the roland cube or a fender frontman 15g, i actually have the fender, which it was given to me one christmas 8 years ago and the freaking amp has been so usefull !!! from drummer monitor to cd player speaker, and even for a singer PA, and it works fine with no trouble at all.
