quot;Look. See? no pedalsquot;!
No effects? zero? none?
That's what guitargeek.com says.

So, will my JV strat with Texas Hots sound sweet through some Marshalls?
Yes.
Is two Marshall 100 watt heads and four 4X12 cabinets enough?

Will I find those at the local pawn shop? How old?
No, You Can Find Them At WalMart. Go For The 1975 100 Watt Model. Although, Secretly, Angus Is Using a 45 Watt Marshall JTM45 Underneath the Stage. Most Of The Wall Of Marshall Stacks Is Just For Show.

flank, I think you may be playing your music too loud. I'm beginning to get concerned. Should I worry?
Wall-Of-Marshall-Mart.......is that better?

eh? still needs work.
try this...
flanks wall of Marshalls.
How's that?
I Do Not Like The Loudness Of Those Old British Amps. I've Owned A Hiwatt, Which IS Probably The Loudest Of The Bunch, And It Was Sickeningly Loud. No Wall Of Marshalls For Me. Not Even One 4X12 Cab. TOO Much Bass
Gimme Old Fender Heads With 2X12 Cab
Flank's Ole Fender Palace

but, Hendrix played Marshall's!
What would he say?
but,
Flank's Ole Fender Palace, does have a nice ring to it.
If you're playing blues, you need a Fender or Fender style amp. Flank is right about that.
I read somewhere that AC/DC has a storage unit with about 200 Marshalls heads and cabs. The techs listen to all of them, then decide which ones have the best tone and gain, then they get fully serviced and re-tubed, ready to use on tour.
Besides those, Angus and Malcolm also have some of those amps rebuilt by boutique builders like the owner of Wizard amps. Bottom line.....they're playing the best sounding Marshalls available!

Alot of those guys were wanting the sound of the 60s fender amps, but on a bigger and louder scale..... the marshalls had the volume and projection that he was looking for. He tried Sunn amps, and Fender Dual Showman amps as well, but they all crapped out playing that loud night after night...so he went back to marshall cause they were built to be that loud
ive got some cool tunes of him jamming by himself in his apartment, playing his strat straight into a fender Deluxe Reverb, if you'd like me to send some to you...its really cool to hear him in such a quiet setting

yes, I am obviously still on the front end the amp learning curve. From all that you say, the Fender may be the way for me to go as well. Angus just gets awesome tone that I think would work for a pure blues players. But, i ain't gonna have access to the best of the best that he plays.
In your estimation, where does the Vox AC30 fit into the blues-rock spectrum? I know a lot of rockers and pop guys have used the AC30 over the years. Fender must still be better.
Yes, I want a copy of that Jimi stuff.
