Alright guys, there are so many guitars out there, I personally am looking for a new guitar. Something of very high quality, solid body, and binding all around.
I've been looking into Charvels, Jackson, ESP LTD, I'm wanting a super strat honestly. But I'd like to get a custom guitar, super strat like designs. But I'm sure I would settle for a factory built beauty.
Money is not a question here, I plan to take full advantage of a 0% interest on a credit card.
So now my questions are.
Where can I order a custom guitar from: Jackson, ESP, Charvel?
And what other models seem to fit the bill of what I want, I've came across some stuff I'd like to have but I'm wanting some otheres suggestions.
You might want to narrow down your search a little bit, because given the info you#8217;ve posted you#8217;ll get answers ranging from a MIA Custom Shop Jackson (the sky is the limit here, both in terms of options and price) to a Schecter C-1 (well built instruments that most seem to believe are true players from factory and tone machines after upgraded electronics).
Don#8217;t forget that you always have the option of building a parts guitar, too, if you like the assembly aspect of owning a custom guitar.
i'd personally go Jackson .The Headstock just looks so much better than the ESP one and the options and especially the paint-jobs you can get from jackson are just insane. Also consider that the ESP custom shop is in japan and import taxes and shipping might get evene more expensive than ordering from the US.
ho ho ho, another forum bro with a custon shop axe coming up !!! keep us posted dude!!
I'm wanting to sink my teeth into a super strat design, and I mean custom is the way I want to go. Something that just has my personality all over it. I'd love to had it with a solid mahogony, something with a deeper sound to it.
Shew I'm just lost on it all, so how would I go about making these custom shop orders from Jackson, I'd kind of like to get a different feel of a neck other than compound radius fretboard.
Also how cooperative and informative are they on it all, I mean is it precisely what I want and they make sure of it?
the best ESP super strat I've played (with passive pickups) is the MH-1000.. it already comes with the SD USA JB/59 pickups (my fav combo) and the whole guitar is outlined with abalone... the quilt top on the guitar I played was stunning (the pic on the website is horrid compared to the one I played) so good ones are out there... Schecter C-1 is great too but the best Schecter IMO is the C-1 classic and the tacky fretboard inlay on that one ruins it for me
Yea the MH-1000 was one I was seriously considering. But custom shop sounds a little bit more promising
so how would I contact them and let them know I want a custom guitar?
Ed Roman
to order a custom guitar you probably need to go to the brand's website and they should have a number or e-mail address to contact them
Get on the phone with Wayne Charvel (Wayne Guitars). He's the Godfather of the original Super Strats. You want custom, he can probably make you the best Super Strat you ever played.

Is this super strat enough?
That it is, what kind of a fretboard can I get, I really want like a strat like neck design and maybe a little bit sharper on the horns for that strat there. I'm wanting to stay away from compound-radius fretboards.
Can this dude hook me up with anything?
Does Charvel have a website I could order custom stuff from them?

Can this dude hook me up with anything? And is this a Charvel brand guitar? because if it is I'm going to....mmmm .
You'll have to contact him for all the details and options. Wayne Charvel started Charvel guitars back in the day. That's why I said he's the godfather of the Super Strats. So, it's a Charvel, but it's not. It's a Charvel built by Wayne Charvel but not a Charvel built by Jackson/Charvel. Are you confused yet?
It's Wayne's last name on the headstock of the Jackson made Charvel's except he's not part of that company any longer. He sold his part to Grover Jackson a long time ago and then Grover left Jackson for Washburn and now Jackson/Charvel is owned by Fender.
Sure, but is what you got in your avatar a custom guitar by him by chance?

Nope, that there in my avatar is a 1988 Kramer Baretta. That paint job is a one of a kind. Found it used in the mids 1990's.
I've always liked the paint job on that guitar its sweet. But if I was to go about ordering a custom guitar from Jackson/Charvel how would I go about it.
I'm not counting out wayne but I'm curious about all my possibilities.
A custom super strat would rock.
What kind of a pickup layout are you looking for?
Don't forget that Schecter also has a custom shop. I'd get a Wayne, but that's just me
I think for a custom shop Jackson/Charvel you need to go through an authorized Jackson/Charvel dealer.
call or e-mail matt from matt's music about a custom shop charvel, he can answer all your questions, get you a price and order it for you if you want to go with that.
he is a nice guy and has answered every one of my pestering questions in the past about custom shop charvels lol. plus he is a sponsor of the JCF forums and an all around nice guy.
