I got a new Gibson Les Paul Studio Limited Edition guitar this week from GC and I can't figure uot what pickups are in it. I was told they were Burstbucker Pros because it was supposed to have the hardware of a LP Standard (nickle and cream) and a special edition color (saphire blue). But when I took them out to see what they were, there was no lable on the back of them. It's been forever since I played an LP with 498T/490R pickups or Burstbucker Pros, so I wouldn't know how to compare them. How can I find out what they are?

Your best bet is to just look on Gibson's site and see what came in it. Gibson doesn't mark their pickups at all (or at least they used to not) and it's ridiculous. Whenever I've changed them out of my Les Pauls I always took a sharpie and wrote on the back what they were so I'd always know.

Or I guess you could measure the resistance.

if it's a studio i'm going to take a logical guess and say it's a 498/490 combo since that tends to be in most of the new studios...that's what came in my limited edition studio from GC.
