Hey all, I have a few duncan questions. One about prices, one about duncans in a production guitar.

Here they are:
1)What are the duncan humbuckers that are on the fender sqecial edition blackout showmaster guitars? My friend is looking into them and wants to know what they are.

2)What are the MSRP of the pickup sets SD offers??? I'm talking about the ones like the everything axe set, the distortion meyham set, vintage blues set, hot rodded humbucker set, and those other ones. What price would one probably pay at a duncan dealer?

1. The Duncan pickups in the Showmaster Blackout are: '59 Reverse Polarity for the bridge and the neck is a Pearly Gates Plus.

2. Go check Musicians Friend prices, you'll pay somewhere close to their prices ( /- ~$10), they also have MSRP listed on them as well.

Pickups 1 ® SH-1N RP ‘59 Reverse Polarity Humbucker (Bridge),
1 ® SHPGP-1B Pearly Gates Plus Humbucker (Neck)

That's from Fender's website but it looks like they labeled them wrong, I know they have labeled pup placement wrong on there before.
Unlike what they said I believe it is: Pearly Gates Bridge, and '59 Neck (reverse polarity)

What the ****en scally waggels is a pearly gates ?

Basically a '59. Check out the FAQ section of the site and it'll tell you about it.

You're right... It's the Pearly Gates Plus in the bridge and the reverse polarity '59 in the neck. Same setup as the famed quot;Big Apple Stratquot; of the late '90s.

OK, a bit off topic but: What's the difference between a Reverse polarity 59 and a normal 59. Is it wired out of phase with the PG in the bridge?

It's wired normally, but the magnet is flipped. Fender needed this mod in order for it work with their (very cool, IMO) five-way switching.
