This is definitely a quot;mellowquot; single. Really not that far removed from the Lil59 that came out. It has a touch more high-end than the 59, but not a lot. I like how it mixes with the SSL-6, (tapped and full-on), and the Cool Rails.
All of the postions though, have moved a bit off base of what a quot;traditionalquot; Strat would sound like. I don't mind that though, because this is my experimental Strat anyway. I'll save the Surfers for a Fender.
Overall, I like it a lot, but I can't really say that its better or worse than the Lil 59 . . . just different. But not much.
