hey guys i just got a pod XTlive and its been kind of pointless having 2 modeling amps with it. ive got all the effects and models i could want from the xtlive. i figured it would help my tone even more if i sold my two amps and bought a simple tube combo. Im looking for a under 50 watt tube combo, with fx loop, and i want a decent distortion out of it too. so far ive looked at the traynor ycv 40, fender hot rod deluxe, and the peavey classic 30. id like to spend under 630$. which one of these should i get or recommend me something better. Is selling my modeling amp for a tube amp to go with xtlive a good choice?

thanks

anyone?

Perhaps look into the Atomic Reactor amps, they're basically a tube power section and speaker cab to go with the modeling preamps.

Those traynor amps sound great, and so do the classic 30's (I almost paid the extra money and bought one of those instead of my Blues Jr.). Dr. Z is another good amp, but you'll have to find a good deal on a used one, because they're a little high (worth the money, just high).
