Hi,
How do i record my guitar in Cubase SX through a line 6 guitarport without having to link up to the audio input in my soundcard?
If anyone knows please give me a hand.
A list of instructions or summit would be appreciated.
Cheers!

you have to link the output (either the L/R one or the headphones) to the line in or mic of the soundcard to be able to record somehting
unless you link the GP to external speakers and then record with a mic in front of them, but i dont know why you'd do that cos that's necessary stuff in the chain and it just screws up your tone.
Cubase SX is actually what I use to record guitarport stuff, and any other audio technical stuff. Click the devices tab at the top-gt;device setup-gt;VST Multitrack from the left-gt;click the drop down in the right pane and select ASIO Guitarport. Before you go into Cubase, make sure the guitarport is already plugged in and with the program running or it wont find it.
Thanks a lot mate, just tried it and it works perfectly.
