One of the above will become the new neck pickup in the Canadacaster. It will be mated with a Hot Tele tapped in the bridge.

I'm looking for a fat tone with good clarity and decent output.

Thanks for voting!

I voted Cool Rails, 'cause thats my pup djour. Plus, it has a great spank and punch that would suit a Tele well. Then again, those all look like decent choices.

I love the Fralin Blues Special, almost Strat like with decent output.

Yep...that's what I used in my '54 Tele for a long time.

Another GREAT Tele neck pickup is the quot;Tele ala Stratquot; neck pickup that Seymour and MJ wind in the Duncan Custom Shop.

The Fralin Blues Special is an uncovered Tele neck pickup...if you'd like the look of the chrome cover then I'd go for the Duncan Custom Shop quot;Tele ala Stratquot;.

Hard to beat the Fralin Blues Special but you will probably have to reverse the black and white wires to get it in phase with the Duncan bridge pickup.

forget that go with a duncan vintage mini humbucker...best tele neck pickup EVER!

Nah! The Antiquity Surfer in my MIJ Fender Tele Custom is the best of all ...but it won't fit in the small Tele neck pickup rout without modifying the rout to accept a Strat pickup.

I am not opposed to routing, but I can't go bigger than a Strat single. A mini hum might fit, but it would be cutting it pretty close.

The reason is I have a big red maple leaf on the pickguard, hence the nickname Canadacaster.

In that case go for an Antiquity Surfer. You won't be sorry!

I voted for the Cool Rails out of the choices offered. But I'm with Lew, a Strat pickup is great in the neck of a Tele.

I'm with Mike, but out of the choices given, I'd say Cool Rails.

From that list, I have had a JB Jr in a tele neck. It had a nice fat sound, but I like neck pickups that are more sensitive. I wont vote quot;forquot; a pickup, but I'll vote quot;againstquot; the JB Jr for a tele neck.

Wow, looks like you guys don't like my choices. I'll have to give that mini hum another shot I guess.

I love the Rio grande vintage tallboy neck in my tele. Under moderate gain it gets almost Hendrix like.

Okay, after listening to all the samples again, I'm gonna have to award the gold medal to Mike. I'll be ordering an SM-1 today. It has a nice quot;chewyquot; tone that I really think will suit this guitar. (btw: don't you love using words like quot;chewyquot; and quot;butteryquot; to describe tone? )

Thanks guys!

LOL, I owe this pick to you Lew...thanks! BTW, I did have to reverse the wires for proper phasing with the Broadcaster.
