A guy at work had his roommate leave an old guitar behind. He knew that I mucked around with them and asked me if I wanted it,(like there was any doubt).
Turns out to be an old solid wood Japanese made classical,so I'll rebuild it for my daughter.I'm going to replace the fretboard and do a marquerty of butterflies and flowers into it.
It looks like it'll need to be refinished, new fretboard and new braces.
It has a bunch of splits and cracks, but it's not the worst I've ever seen.
Just wondering if anybody would like to see the reconstruction documented and posted.

yeah. that sounds pretty cool. i always like seeing the construction of stuff like that.

Im up for it!

Definitely. That would be cool, and informative.

show us the good john

BRING IT ON!!!!

-Mike

Pictures = good.

DAMN Skippie.

of course John!! it'll be fun and educational.

GO for it, JJ

^^^^ what they said bro.

Who would ever refuse to see a documentation of guitar work in here?

Sure. That could be fun!

YUP ! A 101 documentray on acoustic repair would be GREAT !!
as you pointed out some of us are lacking in that dept. (Not like I'm any
good at fixing Electric's ) But I would find it Interesting.

This kind of resource is relatively rare. It would be of incredible value to the guitar playing community. Go for it, JJ!

ooh yeah, post it man! i'd love to know about this stuff.

definetely!

Sounds cool, please do.

Most deffinitely John.

Nah....I mean yes.

I would love to see that process. I've tinkered with electrics, but acoustics always scare me. I'm sure you can ease some of my fears.
