I know about copper shielding and also I just found out about the inner wire they sell thats shielded, Just out of curiosity is there anytning else in a guitar you can possibly shield? are there shielded pots?
Note: I dont inttend to do all this just wondering
If you want to go totally nuts you can buy or build pot shields and use shielded wire like the one in this post... from : localhost//forum/s...ad.php?t=58759 .. allshields get connected to ground, of course...
pot shields shielded cavity wire = more shielding in the electronics cavity than Captain America has on his left arm
And of course you can shield the shield, and the shield´s shield´s shield, and shield´s shield´s shield´s shield, and the......
PS: quot;canquot; does not necessarily denote that it would be an intelligent thing to do
Probably about 25 feet or so.
... and then you can dip the guitar in conductive paint!

Oh yeah, armor plating... James Hetfield has diamond plate on one of his Explorers, and that thing looks hella-tough!

scrap metal or sheet metal, soldered to fit around a pot with a bit of quot;airquot;..
Again, I never said it was a good idea
Lest you not forget to play inside a grounded chicken wire cage.

I think I saw Poison do that in '87!
i once saw a guitar body that was entirely sheilded. it was quite neat. actually it wasnt. it sucked.

Or may be just some heavy duty aluminum foil from the super market.

Soldering aluminum is hell
You can just wrap it around the pot and then tape the foil edge to the pickguard shielding material. It's quick and dirty, but it works. Just make sure you insulate the hot wires with electrical tape or protect them with some other kind of insulation material before you do that though.
