Whats everyone's opinion on these two styles of Tele bridges? Who likes which one better? What are pro's and con's of each one?

Trying to decide which one i like better myself, just want ideas from you guys FenderBender

Well, for starters, you can more accurately intonate a 6 saddle bridge than three, because you can stagger each individual string with a 6 saddle. I personally like the 6 saddle bridges better.

with compensated saddles and a good set up a vintage 3 saddle works just fine, add to that that the 3 saddle IMO is a huge part of the Tele tone and my favorite should be clear! I much prefer the vintage style...in fact I would not own a tele that did not have a box bridge and 3 brass saddles!

Last year i parted out my '50s RI tele on Ebay, and after that i bought a new MIM Standard Tele. Since then i've become used to it's quot;in tunequot; sound, so when got my '50s RI Esquire recently with its vintage 3-saddle bridge i noticed that the sound wasn't quite the same. BUT....... a vintage 3-saddle bridge does seem to have THAT tone that you just can't get any other way! So i guess for me i'm gonna have to just like them both! lolFenderBender

Im telling you...get a set of compnesated saddles and you'll have the tone and you'll be in tune!

Vintage 3 barrel all the way!!! Go with a quality one, like from : localhost/vintique.com/bridges.html or from : localhost/and you'll be in great shape. It's just got That Tele Tone, plus the classic look. I put a Vintique on my homemade Tele. Expensive, but an excellent addition!

Last weekend when i had the brass '52 style barrels on my '50s Esquire intonated by my local tech, he told me he was gonna bend the screw on the middle saddle, and sure enough it looks like a set of compensated saddles and it actually sounds pretty close to the tuning on my 6-saddle MIM tele. Pretty cool idea, but i'm sure has been around for ages.FenderBender

If you're playing with single coils, the only way to go IMO is with the 3 saddles. With buckers, go with the 6 saddles.

good call!

never tried vintiques, but callaham makes some bada*s bridges and hardware. i have them in my strats and tele and the competition don't even come close.

I prefer the individual saddles myself. I like the control over the intonation.
