Hey to all toneologists whom I to. I'm tryin' to find a good rhythm matchup that'd go good with a L'il 59 for a Tele. I'm considering a Hot Rhythm, 1/4 pound rhythm, or Vintage Rhythm Stack. Which do you think would work best on its own and simultaneously with the 59? I play blues, classic and hard rock. Thanks,

thats funny
what do you like your neck to sound like? personally i dont care for tele neck pups all that much so i tend to use something else. not that there isnt tele pups that sound good, i used to love the qp. big fat punchy tone
If you're open to a non-traditional tele, and your neck cavity is big enough, stick a full sized humbucker like a 59 or Seth Lover in there. You'd have a really nice and smooth rhythm position.
If you're looking to stay with the single coil sized pickup, I would opt for a higher output pickup. I've only tried the Quarter Pound and i really liked it (changed out only to change my tone a bit). It delivers a huge gritty tone-great under a little bit of gain and drive.
I have modded my tele to have a full sized Jazz PUP in the neck, to match with the LIL 59 bridge. It was what I was looking for. Nice clean and warm for my rhythm work, and nice classic rock tones in the bridge position. I'm really starting to fall in love with this combo.
