from : localhost/out some of the work on these guitars. I found a dealer about 2 hours drive from me. Looks like I will be doing a roed trip soon. I am realy looking forward to trying these out.

It's cool because they have some of there own flare on things witch makes it a little different. They aren't just another strat, LP copy's.

I just talked with one guy at a store who deals in cheaper guitars - he said although they are flashy, the quality just isn't there. But, I've read otherwise. I've been burnt by nice looking, cheap guitars before (EKO and Jay Turser to name but 2). Yer smart to actually play one - I almost ordered one blindly.

I will let you know what I think. All the threads I have found on them say nothing but real good things.

I have played a Michael Kelly. My buddy has one and I would put the quality of it over most major name brands. Maybe its just a really good one? Who knows?

I can't see prices on the site... What do they go for?

They are in the sub 400 range. I've been lookin at these lately myself. I'm wanting a Les Paul (sent the Deluxe back, even though it played and sounded wonderful, the QC jes bugged me for that kind of $), but cant seem to find a decent single cut thick body that doesnt cost a friggin fortune.

Anyone know how thick the body is on the Patriot models? Is it more PRS-like or is it as thick as a Les Paul?

I may jes go with an Explorer...close in tone, half the price of a Les Paul.

I brushed the strings on a few Eastman archtops last visit to Buffalo Brothers.

I usually don't care for the nasal tone of archtops, but this one sounded incredible:I stopped by their booth at NAMM for about an hour. I played a bunch of them. Even their NAMM stock was hit or miss quality. Some of it was spectacular, some so-so. I think if you're going to buy one, make sure you have a nice approval period or something. Just my two cents.
