Exceeded my expectations. The workmanship is flawless. No sign of glue around nut, fret edges nice and smooth. It rivals the U.S. made Gamp;L I had, seriously. Top notch all the way. The Japanese are really quality conscious. The setup was perfect right out of the box with the action nice and low-evidently these are inspected and setup at Gibson in Nashville before being sent out. This guitar was made for me-the string spacing (nut width) is perfect (my test is clearance fretting a B7 chord) the neck fits my hand like a glove. I'm a better player with this LP. I chose to buy one of these new instead of a used Gibson Studio and I'm very happy with my decision.
got any pix???
I'll try to put some up tomorrow. My son just got a good digital camera and I'll try to get some closeups.
Cool... I'm glad to see there are people that are picking up on just how good the Elite series is.
Congrats, really looking forward to the pictures.

Congrats! I know you will enjoy that baby! Post some pics so we can see...
Cool.
What are the electronics?
Cool. That to hear you're liking, or should I say loving it. I was shooting for one earlier this year but could never find one in the stores. I have to play before paying not matter what it is.
I'm GASsing for an Elite Sheraton. Gotta love a classy looking semi with a pair of mini 'buckers.
Did you buy this from MF? There is a really long thread on their forum how the marked-down EPi Elitists were used, 2nds and had a lot of flaws.
In any case, congrats!
Congrats on the ELITE!!! Are the pickups plain vanilla Epi's?
awsome. get some pics up.
i heart epiphone
I did some pokin' around today, and found out that these Japanese guitars are are loaded with USA pickups too...not some dowdy, pillow-wrapped, undefined, sloppy pickups like my Epi Korean. I'm still 100 percent happy with my Korean Epi, as I am in the process of installing Gibson Iommi pickups.
SO HOW DOES THAT GUIT-FIDDLE SOUND?
I am on this site a bit, so even if it takes a month or so to figure this weapon out, I will be all eyes/ears.Merry Christmas to YOU!

Nah, this is definitely brand new. Probably new old stock, according to the serial # it's a 2004.
Sludgenutz, the p/ups are made in USA Gibsons. They sound good to me.
Can't get any pics up (sometimes I hate computers) oh well, it's the vintage sunburst.

As long as they say Les Paul on the headstock we have Les Pauls ******! LOL
You're gonna love those Iommi's. I have my Epi Iommi downtuned to C# for Snowblind, Into the Void, Children of the Grave. I'd like to leave it that way- that's why I decided to pick up the Epi.
Merry Christmas to you too, friend.
