ok, i finally got a job and i am itching for a new classy guitar...but not for a lot of cash. im not looking for something incredible, im actually just looking for a LP that i can get some decent cleans out of. i am in a new band where i need to play a lot of clean stuff and some semi-distorted stuff...nothing like the metal i normally play. my new EX400 just doesn't cut it for cleans, the EMGs are too powerfull so i was wondering how the Agile 2500 sounds, i am thinking about getting it in either Amber Flame, White, or Blue Flame..but i am leaning towards the Amber Flame. am i better off getting a Epiphone LP Classic...because from what i hear Agile is much better
The agile would do the trick but you might want to swap the pickups out.
my epi les paul classic(quilt top) is amazing.
I would get a Gamp;L tribute series (the invader plays great) - very well made import with the american made electronics. I had an agile 2500DC and while it was a good guitar it just didn't have the tone, even with a pickup upgrade to 59's it didn't approach the sound of my more expensive guitars - the wood and finish do make a difference in tone. But I do like the old model 2500 gold tops!
Forget the 2500, Pay the extra for the 3000 Prestige and you WILL BE happier.
Everyone with them says this. The extra features are worth every cent.
