Argh, I'm GASing for another Tele, and I haven't even assembled the one I've got already, nevermind play it!

I've brainstormed already (bad, I know.. be happy with what you got, I know..), and here's what I've come up with.

Body:
Tele style
Mahogony wood
Black finish
Single angled HB in bridge
Floyd Rose
Single volume

Neck:
Maple neck
Ebony fingerboard, no face dots
SRV or Wolfgang back shape
Reversed Tele headstock (or not, who knows)
22 frets, 6130 fret wire

Other crap 'n such:
Black hardware, every last bit
White DiMarzio D-Sonic

I think that'd be about it. To go along with my current Tele (which will be tuned in Standard Eb), she'd probably be tuned to Drop Db.

Gah, I can't keep letting GAS get the best of me..

Oh well, at least I know what my next project is now

I want a Tele with a bridge humbucker at the moment. I don't think it's what I'm getting next though, it'll probably be a Les Paul.

Anyway, I like the sound of this Tele. Though I probably wouldn't put a Floyd in there. But with all the black hardware and black finish and ebony fingerboard, it will look like one killer axe. Hope you like it!

Sorry dude, but I was bored, and was playing around on TCT, and came up with this. Sorry if this doesn't help your GAS. But is this what you were thinking?
just a suggestion, how about clear-finishing the mahogany body? either poly or tung-oil-based finish such as minwax wipe-on poly or waterlox are good alternatives. firstly, its easy to apply and way much cheaper than having it professionally sprayed. second, the clear finish will enhance the grain and beauty of mahogany instead of hiding it behind a coat of opaque color.

Haha, you pretty much nailed it. Except I'm not sure if it would have the slanted bucker, it may just be a bucker with a ring around it. The headstock I would've left maple (I really don't like that matched headstock look, or painted headstock at all), but besides that, you nailed it.

Argh! Now I wish I had money!
