Is there a good 5 way switch that really stays in a position unless you apply some force? Or am I forced to be more careful with my picking hand?

What position do you play in the most when you accidentaly hit the switch?

BTW, I've had good results with the standard Switchcraft unit and the Megaswitch model S.

Either of the first 2 positions tend to get knocked into the middle position.

You can flip your switch. It'll be kind of weird at first, but it should solve your problem.

As far as feel I usually have to go to the music store to test them out manually LOL.

Some of them are very solid and definitely quot;clickquot; into position, others feel like a fader on a mixing board!
