Auction (coolrails)
Does this seem like a genuine auction? I have no way of knowing the pickup is a seymour duncan after all. I asked the seller for more pictures but I thought I'd ask you guys as well.
Also I may bid on a hotrails (for the neck) and I was wondering something... My guitar's single coils holes won't accomodate the hotrails, because of their 'lip' thing. Is it possible to cut it on the pickup or will I have to get some wood chipped?
Guys please, come on this is the SD forums after all Should I post this in the pickup forum...?
The pick-up looks pretty real, but it's hard to tell because the photo is dark. The price isn't too bad,I suppose if you have problems you can report him to e-bay.
You will need to get some routing done, but a competent tech should eb able to do it without chipping the paint.
Is that a model 4?Those trems always were a little twitchy,I hope you've gotten some answeres for your buzzing problem.Make sure that the string locks are level and secure, those pieces have a bad habit of moving slightly.
Yeah I know what to do now thanks a bunch for the tips, I just need the tool to tweak the truss rod.
And I just got a killer deal on a Kahler Spyder or Steeler... I hope it'll work out. Hopefully by the end of this summer I'll have this guitar in its definitive shape muahahah.
Oops I forgot, yeah it's a 4. The trem is good so far but the Kahler will be better for this price yeah... I will keep the JT6 though, and with old pickups. Most likely for when I buy a Strat body
You can modify the pickup, I did so to a cool rails that I´ve been swapping in and out of different Jacksons for years. Just takes patience, a steady hand, a good eye,and a file or dremel
Or you can order them as a shop floor custom without the nose....but then again, ALL of the new ones are in a new formfactor and should fit perfectly
