do u guys know any good website where I could get circuits to build stomp pedals? I cant afford to buy them as them are diff to get good ones out here, so I thought of buoilding some my self.
Maybe BYOC? It's a kit, but they cost less than buying the real thing usually and they sound pretty good.
yes i am chking the site out, but then again shipping the kit here would be a bomb.. I got my Jb shipped out htere and then paid a bomb at the customs to get it . I paid around Rs 1000 to the Indian customs. that around 23 Dollars
Build Your Own Clone is good and a few others are GEOFEX, AMZFX. Definitely read the quot;Technology of....quot; articles on GEOFEX. You will learn a lot.
And just FYI....although it may appear to be cheaper to build your own, it really isn't. You have to look at the tools required, parts (some sold only in minimum quantities), and what your time is worth. Not to discourage you from entering the DIY world, just pointing out the truth.
hmm yes I have givenn all that considerations, but the truth is I might just keep making them and selling some too...The problem is also that I cant get good pedals out here... Thanks any way....
Good luck if you decided to go the route of building/selling. I like to do it for fun and just to find different sounds. Lately I've been on a booster and overdrive binge so I've made a few of those. Low parts, simple builds, but get the job done.
Some samples of pedals I've built myself...I've built about 8 or 9 now..Not shown are The BSIAB 2,May Queen Boost,Professor Tweed,MXR D and the IC Buffer.

The Guv'nor is my favorite pedal because of the way it cuts and the way it works within my band...The Phase 90 is very cool also, but gets pretty minimal use...
Since my RAT pedal is alot smoother after alot of mods to it,I thought I'd change the name to quot;Smooth Mousequot;...

Cool. I need to build me a Guv'nor. That's one of my all-time favorites.

Yep and it's the first version from like around 1990 or so.

Time to do a parts inventory. I know I have a couple dual op-amps to swap around. It's a fairly simple build too. I think I need to put it on the breadboard.
