I Have A Epi.les Paul Classic.when I Play The High E String At The 15 Fret It Has The Same Note As The 16 Fret And When I Play The B String In The 16 amp; 17 Fret It Has The Same Note, what's Wrong

Is this a new problem? If so, it might be an issue with fret wear.

my friends nylon acoustic has that problem on the 11th and 12th frets, only on the high e string though, there doesnt seem to be any signs of fretwear on his guitar though

Perhaps, but whether it's due to fret wear or a build issue, the frets aren't level.
A fret level is probably in order either way.

well, his guitar was only an £8 piece of junk his mum got him from a charity shop, and the strings are older than him

When i was working at a guitar store i saw a few Epi's like that... The fret in front had popped up.... I gave it a gentle hammer blow and the guitar played great..... Don't try this unless you know what you are doing..... I just placed a small piece of wood on the high fret sticking up and gave it a few taps with a hammer-- a small light rubber coated hammer and not extremely hard.... The wood protects the fret from hammer blows... But this is only if you know it's a high fret.... In your Epi's case look and see if their is any slight gap under the 16th fret on the e string area?

I saw an Epi come into the store that had the WORST fret work of any guitar i have seen..... The fingerboard was radiused to about a 9inch radius and the frets were all over the place.... Nothing worked on that one.... it was sent back.

That's what I was thinking.

So The Frets Need Leveling? IT DOES HAVE FRET WEAR

It really can only be 3 things..... well in most cases that is.... One-The frets are worn down in the one spot more then the higher fret..... or 2 There is a fret sticking up..... 3-Strings are set too low-(but it is most likely a fret problem)

Only way to tell for sure is to have someone look at it with their one eyes... Take it in to your local store if you can... most good stores will have a look and give you a quote free of charge.... In my case a store i worked at would fix it for free if it was a simple fix.

If it's a fret that has popped up it is a simple fix. Because frets are bent over a radius sometimes a frets end will pop up after the glue gives a little bit in time.. When doing frets i like to overbend my fret wire so the ends will stay seated... If one does pop up it could be as easy as a light tap with a hammer....

But you say there is lots of fret wear then it could be time to pay for a dress.... Plus they will set your guitar up and you should have no worries for a long time after that....
