...HELLOOOOOOO GUNSMOKE SILVER!!!

The white one and I just weren't really gelling. RAD guitar but it just didn't have a whole lotta mojo. Plus I was getting very trired of dealing with the hassle of a trem system and wanted a hardtail.

I found a guy selling this on the Ernie Ball Forum and i offered to do a straight trade with him on mine and to my surprise he accepted the offer straightaway.

After 5 straight hours of playing this bad boy at practice today I can honestly say that as far as feel and stock tones this is the best electric guitar I've ever played. As soon as I picked it up it just screamed quot;take me, I'm yoursquot; in a way the cream-colored one never did. Total freedom of movement and effortless control over the strings.

I may change the bridge to a JB or a FRED but the neck pickups are staying put. They sound real cool and sweetly stratty.

We have a winner!!!

very nice looking. What neck radius do those guitars have?

EB website sez it's a 10. My MIM strat has a 9.5, so it's not a huge difference. The 1 5/8ths nut and the slightly thinner C shape fits my smaller hands REALLY well. I'll play it and be like, quot;Oh THIS si what it feels like to play a strat with normal-size mitts.

*****in axe!

dig the finish, those ernie ball metallic finishes are sweeeeetttt.

Nice guitar, but I've never been a big fan of tiny dots, lol...either have them or not

Major improvement over the cream Silhouette, IMO. Fantastic guitar.

That is the stock version? It comes with that pickguard and those knobs?

EB's are amazing guitars! The quality is outstandting! They are on my shopping list... I have not bought one yet but i really want an Axis....

That's pretty hot, B2D!

I've always been a big Cream fan, but that is beautiful. Is it just me, or did EB add a few new body contours to that? I just don't recall seeing those horn contours on the website.

Gorgeous.

I dont mind them. I actually dont notice the difference until I play my Fender or my bassist's Tele, then I'm like, quot;Holy cow, these dots are HUGE!quot; I'd love to have a guitar with a dotless board. I get less caught up in patterns with no dots.Originally Posted by WatrobaThat is the stock version? It comes with that pickguard and those knobs?

The guitar as it appears in those photos is completely and totally stock.Originally Posted by WhoFanEB's are amazing guitars! The quality is outstandting! They are on my shopping list... I have not bought one yet but i really want an Axis....

I've got an Amber one on laywaya at GC. They were selling them for dirt cheap on Labor Day weekend so I snagged on and I'm paying it off gradually.

You're right, the quality IS oustanding. Custome shop quality, IMO.Originally Posted by ArtieTooI've always been a big Cream fan, but that is beautiful. Is it just me, or did EB add a few new body contours to that? I just don't recall seeing those horn contours on the website.

The only change thats been made to the bodies on the Silos since they were introduced was the rounding on the heel. This particular finishe really makes the contours stand out and you can see just how aerodynamic the guitar really is.I'm gonna drop a JB or a FRED in the bridge position sooner or later and maybe change the knobs to chrome dome knobs but other than that the guitar is staying the way it is.

Love the new guitar. Looks really cool!

grrr.... i've would've brought your cream one...:-/

Looks great, bro. That pickguard is perfect for that color, or maybe that color is perfect for the pickguard. Either way...

Aw well... it was easier just to do a straight trade with the guy PLUS it was a total target of opportunity. The guy may very well be selling it ANYWAY to get an EBMM Luke model. Keep your eyes peeled on ebay, or if he lets it go on the EB board I'll post a link.

Yeah i really like it. At first I wasnt too sure about the black moto but its really growing on me.

I've had friends suggest a black one or even a mirror one with different pickup arrays, because the Molex connectors that attach these guard assemblys to the output jack make for instant presto-chango swappable pickguards!

thanks man!

Very sweet, very sweet. When are you playing next so I can get a chance to here how this one sounds dude??
