Yeah, someone here should snap that one up! That's the cheapest you'll ever pay for a 3 channel Marshall.
Serious? Thats what I would expect to pay for one used over here. I didn't realise they were that much mroe expensive in the US.
Why spend that much on a TSL when you can find a good condition JCM 800 or 900 for the same price or less? I know TSLs generally go for more money, but I just don't find them to sound that good.
Just a suggestion. Some guys are looking for the more modern sound and flexability of a TSL. Different strokes for different folks, as not everyone wants the sound of an 800. I usually see these going for more because they're still reltatively new.
Hell, I'm thinking about buying it myself and re-sellling it in a month or 2 for a couple hundred dollar profit.
For that price...it's a steal.
Shell out a couple hundred more, send it to Voodoo or Splawn or someone else to mod it and it will sound phenomenal.
I'll say this...I am no fan of the TSL heads (the DSL are ok, but the TSL are not for me) but...that is a great price for that head!

Is the DSL really a lot better than the TSL? I've only played the TSL and totally dug the footswitching stuff. I was getting some pretty great sounds out of it the one day I tried one out. I
I think the DSL's sound a little bit better than TSL's, but the good thing is that this amp is a TSL 60, not a 100 watter. So at least the power tubes get a chance to do their thing at a reasonable volume. I love 100W amps, but the 50 or 60 watters give up the goods a lot easier.

II tried both of them out when they were new and then again the last time I was amp shopping, and IMO the DSL has a better clean tone and the 3rd channel on the TSL is just too much crunch for me, add to that the fact that the TSL was very undefined when compared to the DSL (both with new GT EL-34 and with the same guitar and the same cab) I just feel that the DSL is a better amp...maybe not as many bells and whistels but a better amp.
boy am I glad I bought that DSL when I was younger.. I had no idea what I was buying , I bought it cause Page and Slash had marshalls and I just started working...
But truth is.. I've dug the amp since day one... had the TSL been out when I bought the DSL, i might have gone with the TSL 'cause it had more bells and whistles.
Phew.
