I recently bought a JB (regular spaced) in the states but then I came home and measured the spacing on my fixed bridge guitar which is 51mm (2quot;) and I cannot exchange here (Israel). I have not installed them yet, but it seems the strings will be misaligned slightly and the E's will be on the edges of the poles. Can I expect problems or can I compensate using the pickup screws?
PLS help!
You can compensate with the screws if you need to, but some people don't even notice a difference, My JB is slightly off on my LP, biut it still osunds fine to me...
yeah, i agree it should work perfectly well ... it will only bother you because you know ... the c5 in my guitar shouldve been trem spaced, but i forgot to order it that way ... it still sounds great and pinch harmonics still jump off it like a monster .. spend a few minutes to dial in each pole piece to your taste and just try to forget about it and enjoy the tone!
