I'm looking to replace a few parts on my Schecter (the mounting rings, knobs, nut, and the tune-o-matic bridge), and was wondering what you guys thought the nicer options available out there are. I know of the TonePros, Schaller, and Gotoh.

Measurements I've taken so far are below:

Mounting studs (center to center) - ~2.91quot;
String spacing (E to e) - just over 2quot;

I haven't measured the diameter of the holes where the studs screw into the body yet. Feel free to chime on on whether I should go with chrome or black hardware too, I haven't decided yet.
No takers?

I'd tone pros, stay chrome, and put chrome pickup rings as well...

BTW...I'd leave the knobs!

I'm starting to think chrome is the way to go here too. I did a Kisekae mock up of the two and put 'em side by side. I prefer the chrome look.

I'm going to get some with a set pin, either the same look as the current ones or possibly the Hipshot O-ring knobs. I'm also considering going with an Earvana nut.

So you don't think there will be any problems going to a Tonepros bridge assembly? The only uncertainty I can think of is the holes the mounting studs screw into.

Looking at the pictures you posted, I think the tune-o-matic and knobs should be chrome, but I like the black rings more. The offset seems a bit more pleasing to my eye.

Just a suggestion, though.

That's definitely a possibility. I updated the comparison pic to toss that back into the mix.

I think it looks great. I'm not exactly sure how it would look on the actual guitar though, but here's why I think it looks best on the mock up:

Closer to the back, it looks like a mix of black and dark grey-ish stripes, the chrome blends in more with the grey tone, which is why it works well in the back. But, upward on the body of the mock up, the black appears around the edge, creating a bit of a bursting effect, especially in the area closest to the neck, and that's where I think that the black would look better, because it blends in more in that particular area of the guitar.

Now, I'm not quite sure if that's the exact finish of your guitar, but if it is, I think that would probably be the best route to take as far as the color scheme goes.

You can see a pic of the actual guitar in the first post... but here's a better shot of the amount of quot;burstquot;.

I saw it, and I think I see close to the same finish on it, but I can't tell for certain.

Ah. That changes things a bit.

There seems to be a bit more grey definition in it and less quot;burstingquot; effect as well, so I would probably stick with the first suggestion going with all chrome on it.

The bridge on it now isn't a Tonepros?

I don't think so, this is a '98 or '99 model and I don't think they started using them until later. Also, the tailpiece doesn't lock onto the studs, which I believe is a feature of the TP bridge correct?

I am 99% positive that a Tone Pro's tune o matic will fit on there, after all...that's what they are using now. As for the knobs, get 3 telecaster knobs, they have a set screw.

Sounds good to me. I'm going to wait until after I assemble this Satch body project before I order any of these parts, to see what I think of the Earvana nuts in case I want to go with one of those.

You may need an Epi TOM (metric), but it should fit. I'm torn between the chrome and black. Sorry, can't help.

Chrome, Sperzel Tuners, TonePros TOM, and those knobs is what I'd go with.

Tuners aren't getting messed with, I slapped Sperzels on it a year or two ago.

Tone pro's drop straight into that model,I love the C 1 ,but I hate the inlays.I'm looking at one right now.May pick it up when I decide on an inlay.
