THANK´S IN ADVANCE
hails jp,
the schematic your looking for is basicly this one except the neck humbucker is the lil' humbucker. But the wiring is exactly the same.(i think)
if thats not correct someone like artie will come along and give you the correct schematic
Not quite, the 3-way blade switch is a bit tricky
You´ll want to follow that schematic, but wire in the switch like this : from : localhost//website.../std_tele.html
Then it should work
*Edit* Actually, you can just use the tele schematic and leave off the tone pot
Thank´s Unholy Zerb And Unholy Nightmaresz!!!
666 Thank´s To You !
I've got that same setup and when I finally get around to wiring it up, I'm going to do:
Full neck
Split neck
Full Bridge
i still need a hotrail neck in white =/
FYI - everyone's info here was good. WFD asked me in a PM to make a custom diagram.
Click on the small diagram to get the enlarged version:This should do it.
Artie
thanks from me too artie .. gonna need it before long =)
(just a question.. i got a tone pot too.. so all i do is just add the tone pot to the 'hot' lead of the volume pot right? from the central terminal a capacitor to ground and one of the other terminals to the hot lead. anything else? .. duh.. of course something else.. i got a 2 way switch there too, which i'll be using to split the JB .. but more of that when the time comes.. or.. hmmm... should i do that now.. and get everything ready to just pop the hotrails in? )
about the 2 way switch and split... the middle terminal is common.. i wire the black wire on one side and the redamp;white together on the other side, then go with a wire from the middle terminal to the 3 way switch. is that correct?
Yup. A tone control looks like this:Take the wire that goes to the volume control and connect it to the lug thats opposite ground for a conventional tone control. Connect it to the center lug for the 50's mod.
It isn't necessary to connect the cap to both of the left-hand lugs, but I do it for two reasons:
1. It makes it easier to install. I place my tone pot shaft into a soft-jawed vise with the terminals facing me. I slide the lead from the cap through the left two terminals and solder them both. Now, when I go to insert it into the guitar, I don't need to concern myself with which terminal goes to the volume control. There's only one left.
2. This won't matter when its new, but after the tone pot gets a few years under its belt, it may become intermittent. By wiring it this way, the pot will jump to quot;10quot;, rather than jump to open. (Infinity.) Think of it as a more desirable failure mode.
As for the split, you can use the black wire if you want to split to the adjustable coil. Use the green wire, or ground, to split to the stud coil.
thanks artie.. i'll go do that tomorrow morning. get everything ready and tidy so i'll be able to just drop the hotrail in.
****ING THANK´S ARTIE
Q
but now i have a problem
this 3 way blade switch isn´t similar to mine
mine is a simple STRAIGHT Version of it. and doesn´t have that COIL.
DAVEY, can you post that 2 pics i sent to you on MSN?

here´s the pic.
and now i´m having a MIDDLE position(both neck and bridge pups working)WAH WAH sounding on my 3 way switch
ahahahahahahaah
But in th first and third position(bridge only and neck only) they are working with full force.
That sounds like the two pickups are out of phase.
Reverse the green with the black wire from one pickup, and it should work.

1, you´rw almnost there, WFD
I actually did that on purpose in my Rhoads, BTW

Yes, so you reverse the green abd black wires of one. A pickup can´t be out of phase with itself, there have to be 2 on for this to happen
I think like this should do it:
I´ll try this now. let me See...
****ing hails artie... thank´s man... but now i need to knwo What is the OUTPUT Wire?!
