What pickups did he use?

depends on the guitar...his LP Custom I belive has the stock Gibson pups, his polka dot V had DiMarzios, and his Jackson 3/4 V's had a Duncan Jazz in the neck and a Distortion in the bridge

the Polka Dot V has a Super Distortion in the bridge and a PAF in the Neck
