Well you hear me... I can get my hands on a Laney AOR for 230 euros. I don't know all its specs yet, I've just PMed the guy (really nice and helpful). Is it overpriced? Keep in mind that's including shipping from England to Amsterdam (uninsured, but that's all I can afford for now... )
Does this seem worth it to you? Better than getting a brand new Laney LC15 for instance?
I'm not familiar enough with Laney amps to say, bro. It seems like it might, but you may want to wait on someone else. I mainly just wanted to say that this isn't the final amp thread. You've got to post pictures and a review.
It's the final one if I DON'T get it
Nah kidding you got me there! I'll definitely review it.
You can get a Laney Pro Tube 50 (mid 80's AOR) for around $350 U.S.
If your looking for a Crunchy British amp? And don't want to pay the
money for a Marshall. I'd say it's a good deal if 230 euros = 350 U.S.?
EDIT, I've been watching the prices on these amps on ebay. people are
getting wise to them. The prices seem to be creeping up every day.
I'll go for it then if I can (I need to use the dad's credit card and to borrow some money off them for a few days... you know how it is if you had parents :P) Thanks! Keep the comments and advise coming if you wish
Great amps. Find out if it is a 6 or 8 knob version. I would stay away from the 30 watt head. They need a decent amount of messing to get good tones out of. The 50 or 100 are great stock and if you tweak them a bit more they get downright fantastic.
It's a combo with 9 knobs all in all (so I guess the 8 knob one, but with a master volume or presence knob?)
Here's the thread from : localhost/acapella.harmony-central.com/...readid=1007484 I'll get the one on the picture
Well this is NOT the final thread
