Alright, I'm going to sort of tell you the story so you get the idea right off the bat.
I have a Fender Mexi strat s/s/s and I'm looking for a Single-Coil-Sized Humbucker for the bridge pos.
At first I wanted a Hot-Rails, but I don't realy want to change my pots to 500k and I was told it can get harsh, then I looked at the lil '59 and the JB junior, and told myself quot;If I'm going to get a 59 I want it to be full sized and zebraquot;, so anyway, I was pretty much stuck on the JB junior.
Now, I heard some user clips of this (JB junior and full sized JB), it sounded good, but alot of the time it soudned like it was missing something, like some low end (the spec charts agree with this). So anyway, I was still wondering when I was on someones soundclick ( from : localhost/ PLEASE SPEAK UP!)
and heard the lil '59 clip.....WOW it totally blew my head off, I was SO surprised. OK, so I'm pretty much back with all my options open so please help me out, heres what I'm looking for:
A pickup which has a really good beefy quot;crunchquot; to it but also SCREAMS when playing lead, and I also want it to have decent clarity and not get muddy under higher Gain.
I have a Fender Mexi Strat which I run through a Crybaby wah into a Marshall Valvestae combo. I use a moderate Gain level of around 5-6 most of the time.
I mostly play Classic Hard Rock, Metal, and blues and am mostly in standard tuning (this guitar will always be in standard because of the floating bridge) and some of my favourite bands (the type of music I liek to play) are:
AC/DC
Iron Maiden
GnR
SRV
Clapton
Metallica
Ozzy
Hair Metal Bands
BTO
Pink Floyd
Boston
Skynrd
etc... and many more!! Thanks for anyones help, clips would be appreciated.
You need the Lil Screamin Demon. Its awesome, handles gain with clarity, can get great harmonics and cleans up nice with just a roll back on the volume.
Cool...I'll look into that.. anyone else????
