Hi guys, if im changing the stock pickups out of the Ibanez, do they come with duncan style wiring or dimarzio style wiring?

i believe that is irrelevant. You could put either an SD or a Dimarzio in your Ibanez without a problem.

SD gt; Dimarzio

Ibanez have a strange wiring colour code, different to Duncan amp; Dimarzio.

that should be the only difference

If you're putting in new pickups, you'll be dealing with their wiring and not the stock units.

I maybe asked the question in a bit of a dumb way, but what i really mean is, i just want to be able to swap the pickups effectively from my old ibanez to the new seymours and dimarzios, without changing the wiring- so was wondering if a straight swap would work. If not straight, someone once said that it maybe just a case of reversing the red and green wires, or the red and black wires etc. Thanks

Kev

No, the different wires will mean different things (Hot, ground etc.) check the main SD site, they have a load of schematics, if you can't find the one you need then I'm sure someone here would be able to help anyway.

here you go man, this should let you convert SD-gt; dimarzio
