I am having issues with foil tape. The guitar was already shielded with paint when I purchased it, but since some of the shielding has begun to wear, mostly due to my poor soldering skills. Everytime I touch the foil my guitar buzzes like no tomorrow. Is this normal? Kind of like touching a grounded wire? Am I not the ground? When I touch the strings it pop's from the hum, but the hum isn't bad, that's the confusing part. I'm not touching the foil at this point, but I thought these two issues might be related. Every ground is secure. Should I take the foil out of my input cavity? The foil is connected, no missing links. I am confused. I am offering a reward of 2 mints, and some pocket lint to the person able to answer this mystrey. Let me know!
