Hey guys, I know a lot of you don't care for Tremonti's tone, but I am really liking the sound of his cleans, especially on the song quot;Broken Wingsquot; on the Alter Bridge album. What exactly does he use again? I believe there was a Diezel and a Mesa in there somewhere.... Everytime I hear the clean intro to that song I just adore the tone!! Although I'm not too much a fan of his distorted tone.
Back in his Creed days, he used Fenders (Twins?) for his cleans.
Mark's tone is wicked both live and recorded. Live he uses a Fender Twin and a Tone King for cleans and a Dual Recto and Bogner Uberschall for dirty tones. On the album he mixed the clenas of the Fender and Tone King along with a Plexi and other boutique amps.
I also saw some concert footage from the My Own Prison days (club gig) and he had some Matchless amps in his backline. I think he most notably uses Fender '65 Twin Reverbs w/ 15 inch speakers for his clean tones though.

Ya that's right, he used to use Matchless. Now he runs the Twin and Tone King Combos and runs the recto through two 4X12's and two 2X15's.
Must be a tought life, having all those boutique amps sitting around. I'd love to have a few matchless just sitting around collecting dust.
I agree, though, Tremonti has some prety good clean tone, and the beginning of Broken Wings surprised the poop out of my when I first heard it.
