I just got a new black pearl pickguard for my tele and it does not have the screw holes for the neck pickup. how hard is it to make them?

Easy. If you can use a drill accurately, your fine. If the pickguard is cellulose, watch out. That stuff burns when it gets too hot.

If you have a drill? Bits? Not to hard . The Measure twice ,Cut once rule apply's here. Start with your smallist bit. Drill pilot holes, Make sure they line up. Once your 100% sure your alinement is correct. Move to next size bit. Untill you get to the right size. Be careful not to go to big.

cool i was planning on using my old pickguard as a guide for the holes. not sure what material it is made of though. I'll just go kind of slow.

Well, even if it is cellulose, it's not much harder... just dont be alarmed when you drill and the pickguard starts smoking (it shouldn't catch on fire unless your using a rediculously unnecessary drill). Do it in an open, ventilated area.
