Which do you guys like as far as guitar power amps go? Right now I'm using a Mesa power section that pushes 50 watts per side.

Only a couple of requirements:

* It must be tube (hey, I'm somewhat of a snob )
* It must put out at least 50 watts per side (I want the power section to stay somewhat clean)

* It must be reliable
* It must be able to operate on a 4 ohm load per side.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.

Mesa 2:50

(You didn't say if you prefer 6L6, EL34, etc. by the way)

EDIT: I'm guessing that's probably what you have though, so possibly nevermind

Carvin makes one...

from : localhost/no experience with it but I've got loads of other Carvin gear that kicks butt.

BTW, I have no tube preference, as long as it's not EL 84's. Thanks for the suggestion, bro.

Marshall do one.

marshall makes the 50/50 and 100/100 which may be some options for you.

I'm going to get a Peavey Classic 60/60 later today, I can post how I like it.

VHT makes the best poweramps around

VHT from : localhost/still think some of the Mesa's are great, like the 295, 395, 2:90, and 2:100.

I'm a fan of big iron block transformers, rather than the ones that look like plastic donut. So, the 4 space ones are the ones I'd look at, before the 2 space versions that always have wimpy transformers.
