no problem. i can only say amazing things about splawn cabs (and his speaker choices), not one bad thing!! mine is THE BEST cab/speaker combo i've ever used...and i've tried a whole lot!

i REALLY want to get a white amp / cab combo...but the amps there are quite a bit out of my range

hey just outa curiosity what speakers did you get ? just the stock redhats or did you get the celestion upgrade...also..i looked around the site but i didnt see which celestions they upgrade to ? do you know ? or is it your choice ? thanks again

i'm pretty sure scott will put any eminence or celestion speakers you want but his personal favorite (and now mine since i took his advice) are the USA made eminince redcoats in an X pattern. it's 2 Governers and two Private Jacks. it sounds amazing with any head i have plugged into it. i asked Scott if it was honestly worth the $100 for the celestions since i didn't mind paying it and he flat out said, quot;NO, i like the eminence better.quot; i took his advice and couldn't be happier!! the eminence speakers he uses standard are USA made copies of the celestion G12T75 and the Vintage 30. when you quot;upgradequot; to the celestions he uses those models. as i said though, i think he will put whatever you want int he cab or sell the cab empty. IMO...get the standard eminence, it just flat out rocks!! nice thick bottom end with good strong mids and a crisp top end that's not overly bright or harsh. this seems to be the best of both worlds combo of speakers IMO. it fills in sound gaps that my marshall 1979 lead 1960 cab has. the marshall seems to lack low end to me but has a good midrange (yet a bit harsh at times) and top end. the splawn fills in the bottom end and clears up the top end even more. i was just floored when i plugged each of my amps into this cab, none of them ever sounded so good and quot;well roundedquot;. when i went cab shopping i had NO budget, i was willing to spend whateve it took to get the sound i wanted. i looked at bogner, marshall, mesa, diezel, engl, splawn and a few others and i went with splawn and will NEVER look back!! (i should be getting paid for this lol) i plan to buy another 4x12 from him in the future actually and perhaps send my peavey to him to get recovered in red levant so i can get a red cab hehehe.

right on thanks for all the help dude you just convinced me to pick one up ! ima get a 4x12 in white with those eminence speakers

sweet!! white should look damn good!! what color grill and pipe? black grill silver pipe would look cool with white levant IMO!

pipe..probably white, i might have them leave the gril cloth off and get some white gril cloth and put it on ( unless they can do it..for an upcharge of course ) can you order by mail or do you have to go by their shop to do it ? ( cause im kinda on the other side of the country from em )

Jeff Swanson has built a wonderful 1x12 combo for me that I will be staining soon. Custom made to my exact specs. He does fine work.

from : localhost/is responsive and prompt in his communications and his delivery. Uses any wood you wish, dovetails all his joints. He can stain, tolex, you name it.

I'll have pics up soon.

give Scott a call and ask, he may be able to get white grillcloth, i'm not sure to be honest. yes, he does mail order, that's how i got my stuff, he's in North Carolina and i'm in NY and i got my stuff shipped. he also packs very well...my stuff came without a single hint of a mark on it.

swanson or avatar? I'd imagine both would. In fact, I know Swanson will build whatever you want. He built my 1x12 combo in a pretty weird, non-standard size (try a depth of 10.5 inches to start...)

You tell him what you want and he'll build it. No doubt. He does good work, as does a lot of the other guys mentioned here.
