What exactly are the model names referencing. I think I have a couple of them figured out, like the Sultans Single Coils and the Riff Raff humbucker, but a lot of the other ones are a mystery to me. Does anybody have any experience with thes pickups and can you give a comparison to something more familiar?

Both benji and ranalli are correct ... the pup names are designed to give you a ballpark idea of what kind of sound they are voiced for.

Also, there is a users forum, with a ton of clips by killer players.
