I have been wanting a nice Gibson for sometime. Unfortunately, I need to sell a couple of guitars to help pay for it, but it was definitely worth it. Go to quot;My toysquot; to see my new ES335.
Hell yeah!!
Sweet guitar!
Grab GAS by the bootstraps and run with it! Nice 335! There's nothing like a Gibson, no matter what anyone says! hehehe
Damn - that is nice. I've always had a soft spot for 335s.
Great score!
Very very sweet guitar....
Enjoy!
Those are phenomenal guitars. I had one for a bit..an 88 or 89, same exact color for about 6 months. It was actually my Brothers and when I moved to CA for a while (left my gear at home in VA until I got settled in), he brought it to me along with his Musicman amp so I'd have something to play (he lived in San Diego). I played the beejesus out of that thing with a couple of distortion pedals for gain, and It flat out was one of the best sounding and playing guitars I've ever picked up. Played like butter and had a huge fat Gibson tone. Played a few local parties/gigs with the ES, the MM, and a couple stompers and got some funny looks when I pulled it out and started wailing some 70s/80s metal
I really didn't want to give it back, and hoped he'd just let me keep it, but the SOB finally took it back
Congrats!...
I love 335's myself. Sweet sweet guitars. To me, that is the classic rock-n-roll guitar right next to the Strat. Those two started it all. Think Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly.
I have a '85 tabacco burst 335 Dot RI. It is my favorite HB guitar. Check it out in my gear page.
Beautiful. I tell you, there's nothing better than a 335 in Cherry.....except maybe natural finish with a bit of yellowing/aging. Congratulations amp; enjoy!
This new 335 is real nice. I can't put it down. Real nice neck. I'm going to leave it stock for a while, but eventually I'm going to have to put some 59's or seth lovers in it.
