I've have the following pedals and was wondering what is the correct/best order to loop them in.

Boss CS-3 Compressor/Sustainer
Boss TR-2 Tremelo
Boss PH-2 Super Phaser
Boss BF-3 Flanger
Boss DC-2 Dimension C
Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble
Boss BD-2 Blues Driver
Boss DD-3 Digital Delay
Morley Pro Series 2 Wah/Volume
Boss LS-2 Line Selctor (I use this to select either of my two amps)

I also have a Boss PSM-5 Power Supply/Master switch that powers up to 5 pedals. Which pedals should I power with this and which need a dedicated power source?

Cheers

alright, go:

compression/sustainer,
wah/volume,
blues driver,
super phaser,
chorus ensemble,
flanger,
dimension c,
tremolo,
digital delay,
boss ls-2 line selector...I'd say that's the best way anyway

I'd have it almost the same way as CapoFirstFret, except I'd put the phaser before the Blues Driver.

I have a question though, what is the Dimension C?

I don't know, man. You're running two amps? Is one set up for distorted tones and the other for cleans? If so, you may want to consider running some effects in each amp's loop, instead of everything in front of both.

Its a chorus type thing, from the 80's.

describes it as:-

Dimension C is an analog chorus pedal where you can choose from 4 presets. It is similar to the earlier rack mount effect, Roland SDD-320 Dimension D, but in a compact pedal format. It is quite rare and it's not uncommon to see it go for around $150 in the used pedal market. There isn't any way to adjust your sound other than to choose from one of the four presets. The users have never seen this as a problem as all 4 presets produce excellent sound.

Boss Pocket Dictionary vol.3 (1986):
The DC-2 Dimension C is the world's first compact effect pedal capable of creating the kind of quot;dimensionquot; effects used in professional recording studios. Dimension effects are an essential part of playing and recording today. As implied by the name, a dimension effect adds tickness, depth and a sense of width to the sound - a 3D effect. It's a sound similar to the chorus effect, but with the DC-2, amore dynamic and a much wider type of effect is produced, with a minimum of the wavering that occurs in conventional chorus units. A more effective use would be to employ the DC-2 in a stereo mode through its 2 outputs. The built-in noise reduction circuitry keeps noise level down to those of studio rack units.

Not really. I have an Ashdown Peacemaker 40 Valve amp and a cheapo Peavey Studio something or other.

I use the Peavey if I'm just fancy a quick mess about (anything less than 30 minutes)as I don't like flicking the Ashdown on and off for small amounts of time as it doesn't do the valves any good.

These guys know more than I do, and you've got more pedals

You might get something out of this: from : localhost/users.chariot.net.au/~gmarts/fx-order.htm

Although running a delay into ur chorus can produce some cool sounds, didnt eric johnson do that for a while there for his clean tone?

Ultimately, rules are Tone before Time, however, if it sounds good, then it works . . . thats been my experience
