I bought a project guitar from someone on the board a couple years ago (I don't think he posts here anymore, though) that included this neck.
I had an extra MIM neck lying around, but I don't particularly like that neck, so it continued to just lay around. Then i realized that I'm broke and could really use some money, and figured I'd be able to get more money for the MIJ neck than the MIM neck, so i pulled the ol' switcheroo.
Anyway, I looked the serial number up on Fender's website and found that it was made in '87 or '88.
I'm not sure of the radius, or even what type of frets it has, but hopefully you'll be able to tell from the pics.
The neck is in good shape. There are a few dings (that should be evident in the pics) as well as some fretwear (the only noticable fretwear is on the first few frets).
When I got the neck it had a pre-cut nut that wasn't even glued in. For some reason i never got around to gluing it, but ended up needing it for the aforementioned MIM neck, so this neck is currently without a nut.
I'm really not sure on the value of the neck. I know that Fender MIJ stuff (especially from the 80's) is supposed to be very high quality. Anyway, I'm just going to throw out a price, and hopefully I'm not asking too much or too little. Feel free to make me an offer.
My asking price right now is $125, including shipping to the continental U.S.
Here are some pics:Here are some strange markings/dings. You can also see the fretwear.A ding between the ninth and tenth frets. Here are some dings on the bottom of the headstock.
