Wow... I imagine as soon as you plug in you would have a really fuzzy metal tone. That is insane! I would like to try one out just for kicks.
Complete BS. My EMG's read 56k on a multimeter, as well.
Don't bother, I picked one up for like $20 bucks for the sheer hell of it, noisyest M/Fing pickup I have ever played through. Damn thing buzzed like mad. I've played stock Sqiers that were quieter.
