I'm thinking about getting a neck model for a tele so I would like to hear some opinions.
Cheers.
Here are the words of one of our members, Falstaff:
Don't let the name fool you: the ‘60s Surfer™ pickup would be equally comfortable in the smoky clubs of Chicago's West Side as hanging ten at the Malibu Pier. The Antiquity II Surfer is hailed by many members of the User Group Forum as the ultimate pickup for vintage Strat® chime and quack. Whether you play Blues, West Side Soul, Surf, or Jangle Pop, the Surfer has the sweet highs and percussive lows to give you and your Strat a Free Ride on the Way Back Machine without sacrificing output or versatility. A Custom Bridge version is available for those players needing more output from the bridge position; and an RW/RP version is available for the middle position.
Thanks Evan. Anybody else got anything to add?
its a great sounding strat pup. good jangle, good quack in the notch positions clear highs. these are probably the closest ive heard to a early 60's strat pup.
ive always like strat pups in the neck of my teles and i think youll be pleased with the tone you get from this one
They are beautiful. If you do a search you can find some good info.
I use a Surfer as the neck pickup in my Tele Custom, along with a Duncan Custom Shop version of the Jerry Donahue. It's the best neck pickup I've ever heard in a Tele. Perfect! Lew
Thanks everybody. Anychance of a soundclip?
Cheers.

You know, the best thing in the way of a sound clip would be to listen to some Stevie Ray Vaughn playing his '62 Strat...because that is just what the Surfers sound like.
They sound like the best vintage 60's Strats I've ever heard! The early 60's Strat pickups are a little stronger than those from the 50's or the early 70's....
