I'm looking at getting a dual hum semi-hollow. I am leaning towards the Ibanez, since I think for the money their quality is far better than Epi, but I am curious to see what other players think of these boxes. Post away!!!
I'm putting in a vote for the Hamer Echotone. It's an import that plays FANTASTIC I wish I had never gotten rid of the one I had a while back. Am seriously thinking about getting another one. A pickup replacement is definitely needed as the stock duncan designed pickups are less than spectacular, to say the least
Wasburn HB35
Check out Heritage's Semi-hollows. They make great axes, though you'll have to find a used one to get down anywhere close to the price of Epis and the like.
You should look at the Schecters!!!! Theres a CSH-1, C-1 E/A, Jazz Elite, and Crosair!
C-1 E/A from : localhost/ from : localhost/Elite from : localhost/ from : localhost/recomend Schecter! They have everything!
Gregg Bennet samick RL-3. Don't laugh untill ya check one out!! It's a
real Player. (Once you put a set of duncan's in it ) I have a Samick
SAN-450 That i got for $200 . Plays and sounds as good as any 335
style guitar under a Grand .
Thanks for the suggestions so far.
CapoFirstFret: I will find out who carries Hamer in my area - I don't think I've ever seen one here.
Bones: The Washburn looks good ... price is a lot higher than the others in consideration though.
GuitarGuru88: Those Schecters are nice, but none of them really match what I'm looking for. The closest is the Corsair, but I wouldn't want that Bigsby on there.
Another caveat: I need a lefty model, so if the recommended instrument doesn't come l/h then no deal.
Thanks again for the input!
Ooh, that Samick looks cool actually. If it were a double cut I'd be interested for sure. Thanks!

I had an Artcore AS83 for a while, excellent bang for the buck there, I'd recommend them.
1 for the Washburn HB-35.

Damn, that sucks too because you cant customise there models i think. DAMN!
Um maybe theres a way to remove just the whammy bar??? Would that suit you more?
I think that the only thing that you'll find that fits you is maybe a used Gibson? Those big semi-hollow body...ES-335?
1 on the Schecters, super quality, fit/finish, setup, playablity, price. I personally would recommend the C1 EA Semi, two humbuckers and a piezo. Plays like a dream!

look for a dearmond on ebay
squier also made a starfire that was dual DD humbuckers, that was a good guitar, and better quality than the stereotypical squier
I have an Artcore, the slim single cutaway with Bigsby-style vibrato. Amazing guitar for the money. The pickups, contrary to what I'd heard, even sound good. I was considering getting rid of it when I got my 6120, but it's such a great guitar for the price I just can't part with it.

I got a used Epi Sharaton, which is very playable. Those greg bennet samicks are really well made. We have lots of them here. Also, i heard/read etc, that the Oscar Schmid OE-30 is very good value. Beandip??
Washburn HB-35 is the best semi-hollow non Gibson/Gretsch guitar i've ever played!!!! the Aria isn't bad and i played one about a year ago that i really liked alot...but the Washburn was still better!
I tried the artcore series from ibanez and im impressed... thinking of getting a semi-hollow next although i know i have no use for it cept playing clean stuff on it
Tokai's are worth a look
