I just got a Schecter CV5 (35quot; 5-string bolt on with MM bridge and jazz neck) that came with a BEQ-3 preamp. I am concerned b/c the output from this circuit is extremely low - much lower than my passive P-bass with stock pus.
I put it in the passive input on my amp and only when I have the input gain almost totally cranked does it start getting the VU meter up into the juicy range.
Are there any internal controls or simple component swaps I can do to gain up this preamp a little bit?Check the battery?
