Really want to know what you guys think about this model and the Duncan Custom and Custom Custom pickup combo it comes with???
gt5litre
i think it's one of the nicest quality built, best sounding, playable, guitars that there is available anywhere! i'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to have one!!!
I like this model better, Studio (GATSSO), but the thing I dont like is the control set up
I love the Hamer Monocos and I own a Monoco Super Pro. I love the CC in the bridge but I did not love the Custom as a neck pickup: to loud and to difficult to get a clean tone out of through a low wattage amp like a Deluxe Reverb. Two 14.4K pickups? What were they thinking??? I switched it out for a Seth Lover neck pickup and that combined with the stock Custom Custom makes for a guitar that sounds even better than my Gibson Les Paul Historic with Tom Holmes humbuckers. I love the longer scale length on the Monocos too...gives the wound strings a deeper more authoritive tone. Lew
i agree...i loved the CustomCustom bridge...i'd probably try an Alnico pro 2 in there if i ever had one?!

And I agree with you! If the Alnico 2 Pro came stock with a nickel cover (to match the nickel covered Custom Custom) I'd have tried one of those. But I'm happy with the Seth...it gets a fat, clean, jazzy tone! Lew
i've never played with a Seth...by the looks of the specs and description...it sounds like a A2P with a bit more open and quot;vintagequot; sound to it...probably a little more defined and responsive!?if you can play a Monaco Elite...do it...but only do it if you have the cash to buy it...cuz parting with it is such sweeeet agonnnny!!! LOL!!!
